Expert of Pulp and Paper Engineering, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Distinguished Director of Expert Committee of Innovation Center

He is currently a professor, doctoral supervisor, chief scientist and director of the national science and technology innovation platform of "Plant Resource Chemistry and Chemical Engineering", a double-appointed academician of Beijing Technology and Business University, and director of the Academic Committee of Beijing Key Laboratory of Plant Resources Research and Development of Beijing Technology and Business University.

He has long been engaged in scientific research and teaching of pulp and paper engineering and environmental engineering. The main research directions are fiber suspension flow dynamics and rheology, medium and high concentration pulping technology, paper forming technology, coating and coating technology, waste paper deinking Pulping technology and papermaking wastewater treatment. In order to solve the "bottleneck" constraints of the resources and environment of my country's paper industry, we have made unremitting efforts in the development and popularization of new technologies for water-saving, energy-saving, and pollution reduction, especially in the implementation of medium and high-concentration pulping technology to replace low-concentration pulping methods. It has made great achievements in originality and practicability in medium and high consistency pulping technology, successfully developed low pollution bleaching technology and complete sets of equipment for medium and high consistency pulp, and made outstanding contributions to the cleaner production of my country's paper industry.

Published more than 10 books (parts) including "Fluid Dynamics of Pulp at the Wet End of Paper Machines", "Pulping and Papermaking Machinery and Equipment" (Volumes 1 and 2), and "Theory and Practice of Medium and High Concentration Pulp and Paper Technology", etc. There are 260 papers, more than 60 of which have been included in SCI and EI, and won the second prize of National Technology Invention Award, the first and third prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the Ministry of Education Excellent Achievement Award. Nearly 30 invention patents have been applied for.
